Declan Rice hinted that he wants to remain in London on a long-term basis.

Manchester United are reportedly preparing to step up for Declan Rice. The Hammers midfielder has been identified as a potential transfer target for the club.

The Red Devils did not sign a new central midfielder in January but will allegedly prioritise improving in that area of the field ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.

Man United will face the task with their League-rivals Man City and Chelsea to get the signature of the 23-year-old.

As per the reports of ESPN, West Ham want in excess of £100m for the Englishman, who recently hinted that he wants to remain in London on a long-term basis.

The report also adds that the Premier League giants will focus on signing a new midfielder this summer and see Declan Rice as a leading target.

The contract of England international is set to expire in June 2024 with the option of an additional 12 months. The 23-year-old midfielder has netted three times and provided four assists in 28 appearances for David Moyes’s side this season.
