Jamie Carragher has spoken on Manchester United’s ‘revival’ under Erik ten Hag this season. Man United pulled off a comeback following a poor start and find themselves in the top four.
The club oversaw its worst Premier League points tally in club history last season and finished sixth in the table with a goal difference of zero.
Manchester United board appointed Ajax’s head coach Ten Hag and the Dutchman did a good job since his arrival in the summer.
United made a dull start but after winning against Liverpool, they had a glorious campaign. They are now placed at joint-third in the table and will eye silverware with FA Cup and League Cup.
After Chelsea and Manchester City game, former Liverpool defender Carragher weighed in on the resurgence happening at Old Trafford currently.
He said (via Football Daily): “There was a lot of talk saying United were five years away from [Manchester] City and Liverpool, it just shows it’s absolute nonsense. A top club, if they get the right manager you’re nowhere near as far away.”
