Antonio Valencia Could be Sold In January

Antonio Valencia could be on his way out of Manchester United as the defender is being eyed by a number of Premier League clubs in the winter transfer window.

The right back has fallen much in the pecking order as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has mostly preferred Diogo Dalot and Ashley Young on the right hand side of the defence. Valencia is deemed as a surplus to requirements at the Old Trafford and could be offloaded in this winter transfer window.

Newcastle United are very keen to acquire his services as Rafa Benitez is eyeing some reinforcements to revitalize his struggling side. The Magpies are looking for a short term loan deal but only if the Red Devils agree to pay up his wages in full till the end of this season.

Fulham are also interested in the player after failing to lure Victor Moses from Chelsea. Valencia’s experience could prove to be handy for the London giants who are staring at relegation.

The Ecuador international’s growing age has been a concern for the club hierarchy and he is unlikely to be given a contract extension. The former Wigan international arrived from Wigan 2009 and has been a regular for the last few seasons.
