Bruno Fernandes explains how United should improve

Bruno Fernandes was unhappy with Wolves’ win last night.

Man United starlet Kobbie Mainoo scored a dramatic late winner to seal the game for the Red Devils.

United won 4-3 against Wolves and Mainoo was the hero at Molineux on Thursday night.

The win last night lifted United into eighth, eight points adrift of Tottenham in fourth.

Club captain Bruno Fernandes believes the players need to prove themselves when they are in a Man United shirt.

The Red Devils have been in terrible form but are now unbeaten in four matches and will hope to extend that run on Sunday when they face West Ham United.

Fernandes said: “Not delighted with it [performance], but with the result, yes. We wanted to have much more control in the game and obviously not concede goals because one of aims is keeping clean sheets.

“But we created a lot of chances and the overall performance was very good. A little bit chaotic in the last 20 minutes, but Wolves provoked that because of their quality and players.

“At the end, we got the result with an amazing goal from Kobbie. I think it was better for them today playing a tennis match than for us and that’s going to be the case on Sunday.
