Manchester United’s Erik ten Hag storms out of Press Conference amidst growing pressure

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag abruptly exited a press conference after being confronted with a damning statistic regarding his team’s Premier League season.

Following a lackluster 2-2 draw against Bournemouth, a journalist highlighted the possibility of United sinking to their worst-ever Premier League finish if they slip below seventh place.

A member of the press told Ten Hag: “There’s a danger you could get caught in seventh place. If you fall below seventh, that would be the worst finish in Premier League history for United. Do you think you are going to be above that?”

Just as the reporter uttered their final word, Ten Hag angrily got to his feet and started marching away. As he made his exit, he said: “I don’t comment. I don’t take that question. That is not important for this moment.” While Ten Hag shuffled away, the reporter could be heard saying “I tried”.

As the Dutchman made a swift exit, leaving the stunned press in his wake, the reporter was left with an exasperated “I tried” echoing through the room.

With United’s season hanging by a thread and their Champions League hopes dwindling, all eyes are now on their upcoming FA Cup semi-final clash against Coventry City.

For Ten Hag and his squad, it’s a make-or-break opportunity to salvage some semblance of success from what has been a turbulent campaign.
