Manchester United considering a move for Xherdan Shaqiri

The player is also keen on the move

Manchester United are looking to bolster their squad in the transfer window after an underwhelming campaign this season, not winning a single silverware.

The Red Devils are keen to bolster his forward line this summer as he wants someone to liven up his side’s attack next season, who were the lowest scoring team in the top 4 last season.

The English side has been linked with a move for Chelsea ace Willian in recent weeks, as the squad lack a natural right flank player. But Blues are demanding £70 million for him with Barcelona also interested in him.

Jose Mourinho is considering a move for Stoke City star Xherdan Shaqiri according to The Sun.

The Swiss midfielder joined the English side from Inter Milan for a club-record fee of £12 million, signing a 5 year contract in 2015. He has been a mainstay in the team since then and has impressed on constant basis.

The club got relegated last season from the Premier League but he was one of the standout players, scoring 8 goals and providing 7 assists.

The Switzerland International has been impressive too during the World Cup, scoring 1 goal and providing 1 assist but his run with the team came to an end in the match against Sweden where they lost 1-0.

The 26 year old has confirmed that he will leave the Potters this summer and has said he wants to remain in England. Speaking to Sporx he stated: “I want to stay in the Premier League, and you will find out my new club soon.”

The Portuguese manager has followed the performance of the winger last season and in the ongoing World Cup as well. He informed his friends that he was impressed with the performance of the player and wants to offer him a contract at Old Trafford.

It is believed that Shaqiri will be allowed to leave for just £12 million but Liverpool are also interested in securing his services.
