Manchester United Could Walk Away From Jadon Sancho

According to Simon Peach, Manchester United are trying to ramp up negotiations for Jadon Sancho.

Borussia Dortmund have been holding strong on their asking price of over £100 million and that could be a deal-breaker.

United were prepared to drop the ball altogether for Bruno Fernandes to force Sporting’s hand. They are reportedly doing the same with BVB for Sancho. Will it work? Who can tell?

Simon Peach wrote on Twitter, “The question will probably be whether #mufc can make a good deal. They were willing to quit the negotiations with Sporting for Bruno Fernandes to get the right deal. I can imagine the same thing happening here.”

Sancho would no doubt, be an outstanding signing for Manchester United. They need more quality up front and he has that in plenty. Sancho can unlock Ole Solskjaer’s attack with his creativity, speed and eye for goal. He has wracked up a wonderful tally of 20 goals and 20 assists in 42 appearances this season.

Previously, there were rumours that Chelsea and Liverpool were also trying to sign him. All that has been put to rest by Timo Werner’s official announcement by Chelsea. The fact that Liverpool could afford to sign Werner means they won’t be able to match up Sancho’s asking price either. This leaves United in the clear to wrap up a deal but the question remains regarding Champions League qualification.
