According to reports from the Daily Mail, Manchester United are interested in Chelsea teenager Reece James.
The 19-year old right-back is currently at Wigan Athletic on loan from Chelsea. James has made 44 appearances for the Latics this season so far, scoring three goals and providing as many assists.
Even though Wigan are 18th in the Championship table, James has been impressive for them and is in the Team of the Season.
James currently plays as a right-back, the position that Ashley Young plays in for Manchester United. However, Young’s performances have been pretty poor lately and he may leave the club in the summer.
Manchester United might use Reece James as a backup right-back to Diogo Dalot who will most likely be the club’s first-choice.
James’ current contract at Chelsea is till 2022, having signed a new contract before joining Wigan on loan.
