Manchester United’s hunt for a defender is set to continue even after the Red Devils had a £70m bid for Harry Maguire rejected. However, the chase is far from over yet.
According to journalist Ian McGarry, United have returned with an £80m bid for the Englishman, with £60m to be paid upfront and £20m add ons.
United also tried to sign the 26-year-old last summer but baulked at the £70m price tag Leicester slapped on their prized asset.
It remains to be seen whether Ole Gunnar Solskjaer succeeds in getting his man this time.
