Gary Neville has picked out his Manchester United team of the decade.

The former Manchester United captain and current Sky Sports pundit has had to pick 11 players from a decade of Manchester United teams where the Red Devils have not fared well and boy has it reflected on Neville’s selection.

He said: ‘David de Gea has to be the No. 1 goalkeeper of the last decade. He’s been outstanding, Manchester United’s player of the season for most of the decade. He did not have the best of starts but he got there in the end.’

Neville commented: ‘Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic is the best Manchester United centre-back partnership of all time, let alone the last decade.’

He wants Antonio Valencia at right back and Patrice Evra at left back.

For midfield he chose Michael Carrick and Paul Scholes with Ryan Giggs and Marcus Rashford out wide.

Explaining his decision to include Rashford, Neville said: ‘On the right I have gone for Marcus Rashford because he is the one player in the last four to five years that has come in and looks like he could play in any Manchester United team over the past 25 years.’

Neville ended his strikers choice with Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie!
