Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Reveals He Will Have Influence In Transfer Decisions

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he will have some influence in Manchester United’s transfer decisions.

The former United forward arrived at the Old Trafford for his third spell but this time as the interim manager of the senior team. The Norwegian manager will be shouting instructions from the touchline when the Red Devils visit Cardiff City on Saturday.

Jose Mourinho’s growing annoyance over United’s transfer decisions was pretty evident and Ed Woodward is likely to offer more accountability in the January transfer window. The club desperately needs some backing once the window opens and reinforcements are also necessary for the new manager as it seems.

The 45 year old will have sufficient funds to invest in new players and he may have already started chalking plans for the next month. Solskjaer said,  “I will have an input, of course. The job now is to get to know the players, observe them and see the qualities we’ve got.

“I’ve seen more or less every game from Norway, when I’ve had time from the other job. But to get to know the players and think ‘what can I improve them on’ – that’s my job.

“The club have got their recruitment and scouting, so I’m sure they’ve got their targets. But I’ve not sat down and talked about that, because my job is to get these players enjoying football.”
