Juventus legend and current director Pavel Nedved has said that having Paul Pogba back at Juventus would be wonderful. Pogba joined Juventus from Manchester United in 2012 and played there till 2016. He played 178 matches for the club, scoring 34 goals and providing 43 assists. Pogba established himself as one of best midfielders in the world at Juventus.

The Frenchman returned to Manchester United in 2016 on a transfer fee that made him the most expensive player in the world at the time. However, his performances for Manchester United are anything but similar to his Juventus performances.

There has been plenty of speculation about Paul Pogba’s future. Several reports claim he wants to leave Manchester United and join Barcelona. Some reports have also linked him to Juventus.

Nedved was asked if Juventus were considering bringing back Pogba in January. He replied, “I think Pogba is one of the best players in the world, so it’d be wonderful, but he’s at Manchester and therefore talking about it is futile. We’re alert on the transfer market, but January is a long way away.

This season, Pogba’s overall performance has been somewhat lukewarm as he failed to maintain consistency. In 12 matches across all competitions, the Frenchman has scored 4 goals and has provided 3 assists.

Pogba will be hoping to put on a good show today when Manchester United take on Everton at Old Trafford.
