The Top Three Players On Manchester United's Shortlist And It Isn't Harry Kane

Manchester United are reportedly targeting three players for this summer transfer window to complete their squad.

We are all aware of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s type of players – young, hungry and British. He has formerly signed Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire and Daniel James last season, bringing in the needful exception in Bruno Fernandes. Now, he is looking at Jadon Sancho, Jack Grealish and Jude Bellingham.

While Sancho and Grealish could be a shoo-in into the first teams, Bellingham is still largely a prospect, primed for future use. Bringing in Sancho will add a lot of strength to the final third, especially as an upgrade to Daniel James. Grealish’s position could be argued to be needless after the arrival of Bruno Fernandes unless Paul Pogba leaves.

Should United be broadening their scouting profile a bit further? There is no denying that bringing in local youngsters and moulding them with the club’s values are always a good option in the long run. But it also might limit United’s level of talent acquisition. For example, the Red Devils might need to search for a proper number nine or even a defensive midfielder after the upcoming transfer window.
