Paul Pogba clearly announced his intentions to leave Manchester United recently in an interview.
The French star has not succeeded at Manchester United and despite his worldly talent, Old Trafford might not be the place for him. If Pogba does force an exit, United will no doubt need to replace him having already lost Ander Herrera earlier.
So who are the players who can replace such a huge player?
1. Youri Tielemans
The Belgian midfielder is very young and moved to the Premier League last season only. However, in one season he show cased his class and talent on the ball. He is a hard working midfielder who oozes class on the ball and can seamlessly fit into a team which has star players around him, look at his national team!
2. Toni Kroos
The Real Madrid midfielder in an important cog in Zidane’s team but if reports are to be believed, the French boss desperately wants Paul Pogba to be in his team. This would mean that Manchester United, should they play their cards correct can force Real’s hand into parting ways with Kroos, who has been on their transfer radar for a very long time. However, whether Kroos himself will want to join a team with no Champions League football remains to be seen.
3. Christian Eriksen
Not exactly the most like for like replacement, but their job roles in the Manchester United team will pretty much be the same. Pogba was the creative force in midfield and who knows better than Eriksen how to do that?
The Tottenham Hotspur star announced his intention to move on to a new challenge and if Real Madrid cannot sweep him up, United should give it a shot.
