Manchester United Ace wanted by European giants

The Red Devils are also prepared to let him go

Manchester United are expected to bolster their side this summer after after an underwhelming campaign last season, not winning a single silverware. Few players are expected to be sold in the transfer window in order to accommodate new signings.

One of the players that has been heavily linked with a summer exit is Matteo Darmian. He joined the Red Devils from Torino in the summer of 2015 and made significant contributions during his first two season with them despite not being a regular.

The 28 year old struggled to make an impression under Jose Mourinho and fell behind the pecking order last season, with the Portuguese preferring Antonio Valencia ahead of him. He just managed to make 16 appearances in all competitions.

The Premier League giants have already completed the signing of teenage full back Diogo Dalot from Porto few weeks ago which indicates that the Italian’s future at Old Trafford might be over.

Though his contract expires at the end of the next season and has the option to sign on for an extra year at Old Trafford. But the Portuguese manager is prepared to let him go as he is not part of his first team plans.

He has been linked with a return to his homeland with Juventus showing the most interest in him during the past couple of months, who wants to bring him on a season long loan before making the move permanent next summer. Another Italian side are also interested in him.

Inter Milan have made a loan offer to Manchester United for Darmian according to Mirror. They have already contacted the player’s agent over a potential move.

The Serie A giants have prioritized signing a right-back as they didn’t sign Joao Cancelo on a permanent transfer. But the English side would prefer a straight cash deal and want £17million or €20million for him.
