Manchester United considers four players as unsalable

Ed Woodward believes they are central to the future of the club

Anthony Martial joined Manchester United from Monaco for £36 million, potentially rising to £58 million, on a four-year contract with the option of another year in 2015. Since then he has been an integral part of the team and is considered one of the best young talents in the world.

However, the France International struggled to establish himself as a regular for the Red Devils under Jose Mourinho and fell further behind the pecking order when Alexis Sanchez was signed from Arsenal during the January transfer window.

It was widely speculated throughout the summer that the 22 year old could leave the Premier League giants this summer after a fallout with. His representative further intensified the speculations by claiming that his client is unhappy and wants to leave the club.

There were heavy speculations that Mourinho wanted to sell the the forward in order to sign from Willian Chelsea. But the Premier League giants decided to keep hold of him this summer.

He featured against Brighton but was substituted as he struggled to make any impact and was dropped from the squad only in the next fixture against Tottenham.

But there has been reports that United are ready to offer him a new 5 year contract as he has entered the final 12 months of his current deal. It has become clear that Ed Woodward values the forward far above the boss and the vice chairman also considers three other players very highly.

According to The Telegraph , Martial shares his company with Luke Shaw, Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard as the four players Woodward would not consider selling.

Shaw was also heavily linked with an exit this summer but decided to stay on as he wanted to prove himself. He has started the season very strongly and looks set to reclaim the left-back position in the Starting XI.
