Ashley Young Vows To Return Stronger Next Season

Ashley Young has vowed to return strongly next season.

The Manchester United right back couldn’t do much as the Red Devils played a disappointing 1-1 draw with Huddersfield Town in the Premier League. Scott McTominay provided a breakthrough to the visiting side but the Terriers reduced the deficit through Isaac Mbenza.

United needed a win to keep alive their Champions League hopes but with Chelsea winning 3-0 against Watford their hopes all but dashed. The Red Devils are scheduled to take part in the Europa league and if Watford do defeat Manchester City in the FA Cup they need to go through the qualifiers.

Young said, “We’ve done that in numerous years and for a club of our size, when you’re talking about finishing top four, I think that’s just a disappointment in itself.

“We haven’t managed to get ourselves in the top four. We needed other teams to help us out and we needed to help ourselves and we haven’t done that today.

“I think we need to go away, have a look at ourselves in the summer and come back fighting fit and ready to win titles and trophies.”
