Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hit out at Liverpool players following their 1-1 draw against the Merseysiders at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Jurgen Klopp’s men managed to salvage a point in the last five minutes, thanks to the equalizer from Adam Lallana. However, Liverpool was disappointed on not being given a penalty early in the first half.
Marcus Rashford’s goal was allowed to stand after a VAR check, much to the dismay of the Merseysiders. Later, Liverpool have also disallowed a penalty following Victor Lindelof’s tackle on Divock Origi.
“No chance… we’re not playing basketball. He touched him but it’s not a clear and obvious error. I don’t think it’s a foul,” Solskjaer said.
“We are better when he attack quickly, no dilly-dallying on the ball.”
“Playing the ball forward doesn’t have to be a counter-attack but you need to be more direct, take more risks, be braver.”
“It doesn’t matter if you lose the ball up there because you can win it back.”
