OGS slammed for exposing player's weakness

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been astonishingly poor this season.

The 23-year old defender has been criticised for his defensive ability this season while United are struggling to keep clean sheets.

The Englishman joined Red Devils in the summer of 2019 from Crystal Palace for a whopping fee of £50m.

He has made sloppy mistakes and has also been caught out of position several times.

Solskjaer playing him in the attacking wing-back position has caused him to reveal his vulnerabilities on the pitch.

Former player Danny Mills believes Aaron Wan-Bissaka is struggling to adapt to Solskjaer’s new tactics.

‘He’s always been a decent defender one-on-one, but he’s never been massively comfortable on the ball,’ Mills told Football Insider.

‘It puts him in a position where you have to be better on the ball than defending one-on-one.

‘You’ve put him in a position to expose his weakness rather than to exploit his strengths.

‘That’s not particularly good management. You’re asking a player to do what he’s not very good at.’
