Man United boss Erik ten Hag hails Marcus Rashford after victory at Old Trafford

Marcus Rashford was the goal scorer in Man United’s three points against Nottingham Forest.

Marcus Rashford looked proper improved player and after performing high for the Three Lions in World Cup, he gets praise from the Manchester United manager.

Erik ten Hag was full of praise for the Englishman after an impressive show in Tuesday’s 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest.

Manchester United continued their top game in Premier League. They claimed a two-goal lead heading into half-time, courtesy of the goals from Rashford and Anthony Martial.

Erik ten Hag’s men were also dominant in the second half and should have put the game to bed before Fred came off the bench to seal the deal.

Rashford turned provider for Martial to double his side’s lead and take his tally of goal contributions to 17 for club and country this term.

“It’s my job to make the team perform and make the individuals perform – to bring them in their best position, also mentally bring them in the best mood, so I try to do my best every game” Ten Hag was quoted as saying by United’s official website.

“There is still room for improvement from Marcus but this one [performance] was at a good level and he’s unstoppable.

“If he keeps in this spirit, this focus, I am sure the process will keep going and he’ll score more goals and get more assists.”

The Red Devils are now one point ahead of Tottenham with one game in hand. They are getting stronger in the race for a top-four finish.

Manchester United recently beat Burnley in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup and secured a place in the quarterfinals. After four successive victories, Erik ten Hag’s side will now face Wolves at the Molineux Stadium on New Year’s Eve.
