Raphael Varane expected to leave Manchester United in the summer.

The World Cup winner has been overlooked by the Dutch manager and the club reportedly opted out of triggering his contract extension.

In Erik ten Hag’s debut season, Varane made a formidable partnership with Lisandro Martinez in the heat of defence.

But the former Real Madrid star has struggled for minutes this season amid reports of a fallout with the manager.

But Ten Hag denied such rumours and claims his decision to drop the former Real Madrid was tactical.

Varane has fallen way down the pecking order behind and is contract with the Red Devils expires in the summer.

Man United are happy to let Varane depart at the end of the season who has started only nine games in the Premier League.

His staggering £340,000-per-week salary was a huge stumbling block behind any departure this January.

According to reports, Al-Nassr are keen to reunite Varane with his former Real Madrid teammate Ronaldo in the summer.

The Saudi Arabian side are willing to offer £50 million a season to lure Varane away from Europe and the deal would be beneficial for both the club and the player.

The 30-year-old World Cup winner would be very keen to pocket a lucrative salary in the twilight of his career.
