Erik ten Hag insists he doesn’t want Ratcliffe’s vote of confidence.

The Dutchman’s job at Manchester United is under heavy scrutiny after the club’s latest 2-1 defeat at the hands of Fulham.

Ratcliffe has taken control of the footballing operations at Manchester United after his 25% stake in the club recently got confirmed.

The English billionaire has already made their decision on the Dutch manager after assessing the work Ten Hag has done over the past two seasons.

There has been rumours of a potential sack in the coming months as Ten Hag’s tactics and recruitment have attracted criticism from all over the world.

But Ten Hag claims he’s not interested in any form of support from Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Ten Hag said: “I’m here, I’m under contract for three seasons, so I don’t care. I’m only focusing on the process so I don’t care what’s going around me.

“I have many talks with Jim Ratcliffe but especially also with Sir Dave Brailsford so I know what we are talking about. I have a strong belief and I feel that they believe in me.

“I’m just focusing on the team and I have to find solutions for this team that they perform in the best way they can. It’s all about focusing on this and don’t get distracted by any noise.”
