Marcel Sabitzer scored his first United goal in the FA Cup last night.

The Red Devils secured their spot in the FA Cup semi-finals by beating nine-man Fulham.

In the second half, Fulham lost two players, their manager and the lead.

January signing Marcel Sabitzer scored his first goal for the Red Devils and manager Erik ten Hag singled out the Austrian for his incredible performance.

‘He had a great performance,’ Ten Hag said of the Bayern Munich midfielder. ‘We are glad he is back from injury.

‘We will be playing a game every three days between now and the end of the season so we need as many fit players as possible.’

The manager then gave his assessment of the team’s overall performance against Fulham last night at Old Trafford.

‘We are through, we are happy with the win.

‘We showed great character. Every time this team comes out, they show the personality and the determination needed.

‘Fulham are a good team and you have to be good to overcome them. I think we had a good first half. We had great moments in the attacking transition and we should have been two or three goals up.
