Cristiano Ronaldo scored the final goal last night.

The 37-year-old’s future with Manchester United remains up in the air as he is expected to force a move this January.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner scored a goal in the 81st minute which was his first goal of the season at Old Trafford.

He was seen storming off to the dressing room when he was asked to come on as a substitute against Tottenham Hotspur.

He has 12 months left on his contract but is expected to leave Old Trafford on a free transfer when the season ends.

“He was great. He created chances and the team creates for him. He needs a goal to get over that point and I am confident he will get more goals,” Ten Hag said.

“I wanted to see Cristiano and Marcus Rashford close together, and that is why we made our planned substitution of taking Antony off. Our substitutions were planned. We are confident going into the final game in what we have to do.”
