Manchester United midfielder Fred spoke about his goal celebration against Wolves last weekend. Fred scored his first goal for Manchester United and celebrated it by putting the ball under his shirt. The Brazilian dedicated the goal to his son who is yet to be born.

Unfortunately, Joao Moutinho equalised for Wolves in the second half and the match ended in a draw.

Speaking to MUTV ahead of Manchester United’s match against West Ham, Fred said that it felt really special to score his first goal for the club.

Fred said, “I was really happy. I even had the chance to dedicate it to my son that will be born soon. This goal was really important to me and I hope is the first of many. I’m still adapting to many things and in the previous games I wasn’t playing as well as I was playing before I joined the club. Now I feel much better and to be able to score my first goal was really amazing.”

Fred came on as a substitute during Manchester United’s Carabao Cup match against Derby County. He converted his spot-kick during the penalty shootout but Derby County eventually won 8-7.

Manchester United will try to get back to winning ways when they play West Ham on Saturday.
