Luka Modric has been linked with a move away from Real Madrid.

The Croatian midfield maestro joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2012 from Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur.

Since then he has helped Real Madrid win multiple trophies and formed a deadly midfield trio with Toni Kroos and Casemiro.

Modric has won five Champions League titles with the Galacticos and one Ballon d’Or in the year 2018.

There is no denying Modric is one of the finest midfielders of this generation and will go down as one of the greatest midfielders in the history of the club.

The veteran midfielder is in the twilight of his career and a move away from Real Madrid seems the right path for the Croatian.

Real Madrid has made heavy investments in promising young central midfielders notably Jude Bellingham who joined in this summer window.

Modric has fallen down the pecking order and struggling for game time in the first half of the season.

The 38-year-old was recently linked with a move to Manchester United but Modric has no intention to part ways with Madrid in mid-season.

The Red Devils could definitely use someone like him who can control the tempo of the game and help them retain possession.
