Manchester United are reportedly considering a double swoop for Everton duo Jarrad Branthwaite and Amadou Onana. They are looking to boost their squad ahead of the new season.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is the new owner of the club and he wants to give full support to his manager. The Red Devils are expected to bring in a new central defender. Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans are out of contract at the end of the season.

The Premier League giants are also expected to bolster their midfield options. Casemiro and Christian Eriksen are also planning to leave the club.

Casemiro is linked with the Saudi Pro League club and Eriksen could be sold after falling down the pecking order at Old Trafford. As per the reports of Manchester Evening News, Man United are continuing to keep tabs on Branthwaite and Onana.

Branthwaite has spent time out on loan at PSV Eindhoven last season. He has started 25 of Everton’s 28 Premier League matches this season. He helped his club to take eight clean sheets in the top flight this season.

His teammate Onana has made 29 competitive appearances this season, scoring three goals and one assist. The Belgium international is also under contract until 2027 after penning a five-year deal upon his arrival from Lille in the summer of 2022.
