Manchester United could surprise everyone by signing Giroud in January

In their search for new attacking players, Manchester United is allegedly interested in former Arsenal and Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud

The Times reports that it may be difficult for Man Utd to convince the experienced France international to return to the Premier League because it is believed he will likely sign a new contract with his present club, AC Milan.

Even yet, it’s understandable why the Red Devils would be drawn to Giroud as a temporary solution to their front-line problems given Erik ten Hag’s current lack of talent in the wake of Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure and the inconsistent play of players like Anthony Martial, Jadon Sancho, and Antony.

Despite being 36 years old, Giroud still performs at a high level, helping France advance to the World Cup final in Qatar last month.

Giroud has proven he can succeed in the Premier League by scoring 144 goals throughout stints with both Arsenal and Chelsea. Giroud might be a low-cost alternative for United to explore if they are unable to complete agreements for any larger arrivals this January.

Giroud will undoubtedly be coveted by Milan, and according to the Times, he appears ready to accept their offer to remain at the club.
