Manchester United is allegedly interested in signing Brazilian striker Gabriel Barbosa, also known as Gabigol, in January to improve their offensive options. According to reports, the Red Devils are willing to include Antony, one of their struggling players, in any potential deal.

Rasmus Hojlund, who joined from Atalanta BC lately, has battled to find his feet in the Premier League, and Anthony Martial’s struggles in front of goal persist. Given these worries, United is eager to add to its offensive force during the winter transfer window.

Gabriel Barbosa, a Flamengo player, has emerged as a top target for the English giants. The Brazilian striker is said to be available for around £20 million, with his contract set to expire in December 2024. Antony might be loaned out to Flamengo as part of the planned agreement.

Antony a difficult season, failing to score or assist in 10 appearances for Manchester United in the 2023-24 season. Off-field issues, including claims of abuse, hindered his performance and forced him to take a leave of absence.

Gabigol, 27, previously played for Inter Milan and has found his form again in Brazil, where he has 139 goals and 38 assists in 246 matches for Flamengo. The signing of Barbosa might offer Manchester United with a much-needed offensive boost as they look to improve their Premier League position.
