The player’s future has been uncertain this summer

Anthony Martial joined Manchester United from Monaco for £36 million, potentially rising to £58 million, on a four-year contract with the option of another year in 2015. Since then he has been an integral part of the team and is considered one of the best young talents in the world.

However, the France International struggled to establish himself as a regular for the Red Devils under Jose Mourinho and fell further behind the pecking order when Alexis Sanchez was signed from Arsenal during the January transfer window.

It was widely speculated throughout the summer that the 22 year old could leave the Premier League giants this summer after a fallout with the Portuguese manager. His representative further intensified the speculations by claiming that his client is unhappy and wants to leave the club.

There were heavy speculations that former Chelsea manager wanted to sell the the forward in order to sign from Willian Chelsea. But the Premier League giants decided to keep hold of him this summer.

He featured against Brighton but was substituted as he struggled to make any impact and was dropped from the squad only against Tottenham last weekend.

However, there have been reports that United are ready to offer him a new long term contract as he is in his final year of his current deal. Though the club has the option to extend his existing deal by 1 year but they considers him central to the future of the club.

Manchester United isn’t looking to sell Anthony Martial, according to the Sun.

Due to terms set with Monaco when the club signed the French forward, they would owe the Ligue 1 club half of any fee generated by his sale.
