Manchester United captain Jerry McGuire has taken the initiative and urges teammates to donate 30% of their salaries to local Manchester hospitals. The funds are likely to be used to procure equipment for doctors and paramedics to help the first battle line in the battle against Coronavirus.

Maguire suggested the decision to club manager Ed Woodward, who immediately accepted it.

Legendary English footballer Gary Lineker has decided on Monday to donate his salary to the British Red Cross in aid of the most vulnerable to the Quidd-19 pandemic.

The Red Devils are among the richest sports collectives in the world and so far no wage cuts have been made, but the players themselves have decided to contribute as soon as possible to end the dangerous virus pandemic.
