Manchester United star will not force a January exit

The player was linked with an exit this summer

Paul Pogba returned to Manchester United in the summer of 2016, on a five-year contract for a then-record for highest football transfer fee at £89.3 million. He left the club to join Juventus in 2012 for more game time, where he established himself as one of the best midfielders in the world.

The France International started off the last season off positively but was benched following a few poor performances. His form was often questioned last season and was even criticized by Jose Mourinho himself.

Though the 25 year old responded with brilliant performances towards the end of the season and won the United’s Player of the month for April. He ended the season with 6 goals and 11 assists in all competitions.

There was heavy speculations that the midfielder’s relation with Jose Mourinho is not good and they weren’t even in speaking terms. As a result he was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona during the transfer window but a move never materialised.

However, the Portuguese clarified that he has no problems with the player and claimed he is happy with him. He has featured in all the Premier League fixtures so far this season and was even given the captain’s armband in the first two matches hen Antonio Valencia was out with injury.

But the Frenchman’s future is still being called into question and has been linked with a January exit.

Paul Pogba will not force a January exit from Manchester United despite remaining at odds with Jose Mourinho, according to the Mirror.

He has held talks with the former Chelsea manager where the two agreed to put off any potential move until the summer. But there is no confirmation that he will push for a move or not in next summer.
