Manchester United To Appoint A Director Of Football

Manchester United are considering to appoint a director of football before investing their time on the appointment of a full time manager.

Talks regarding the hiring of a director of football have been going on in the past few months but United are yet to take a concrete decision. The Red Devils are having a fine time on the pitch and the club doesn’t want to disrupt the proceedings for the time being.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has inspired the team to a brilliant revival as he has led the team to a seven match winning run in all the competitions since taking over the charge at the Old Trafford.

The former United forward has been getting some much needed advice from his mentor Sir Alex Ferguson who is also a director at the club. Ferguson is likely to sanction the appointment and a number of names have already been discussed.

Paul Mitchell of Red Bull Leipzig is one of the names topping the list while the likes of Giuseppe Marotta and Fabio Partici are also in the running.

But United legend Edwin van der Sar is leading the line for the role but it is not sure whether the former keeper is interested in the role or not.
