According to reports, Manchester United will offer a new and lucrative five-year contract to French winger Anthony Martial which is worth £45 million.
Martial has been doing really well for Manchester United in the past few weeks. He currently has 6 goals from 13 matches across all competitions.
Martial’s current contract expires next summer. Even though Manchester United have the option of extending his current contract by a year, they want to keep the Frenchman for the long run.
During the summer, there were rumors that Martial wanted to leave the club. However, he stayed and has become an integral part of the team again.
Martial joined Manchester United from Monaco in 2015 on a transfer fee of £57.6 million. So far, the Frenchman has played 149 matches for the club, scoring 42 goals.
Martial played the entirety of Manchester United’s 2-1 win against Juventus at Turin last night. He will hope to put up another strong performance in Sunday’s Manchester Derby.
