Manchester United Players Massive Wage Cut After Failing To Secure Champions League Football

Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic said that Paul Pogba can be a game-changer at Manchester United provided he realises his importance in the team.

Jose Mourinho benched the French midfielder in his last three Premier League matches before getting sacked. However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer brought Pogba back in the playing XI after being appointed interim manager.

In Solskjaer’s first match as manager, Pogba provided two assists in a 5-1 win over Cardiff City. He then scored two goals as Manchester United beat Huddersfield Town 3-1.

Matic said, “As I’ve said in previous interviews when they asked me about him, he [Pogba] is very important for us. When he plays at his best, he can make the difference in every game but he played also very well (against Huddersfield), I think that he can do even more.

I think (he can do better), but slowly, game by game, (it was) very important for him to score some goals. The confidence for the next one is going to be bigger and he needs to know that he still can improve.

He needs to know that he’s very important for this team. As I said, his quality can make the difference every game and, yeah, I hope that he will continue like this.”

The win against Huddersfield Town sees Manchester United in 6th place in the Premier League table. They are now 8 points behind the top four. The Red Devils next take on Bournemouth on Sunday.
