Manchester United’s interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s claims of that he is no more under contract with Molde has not been upheld by the Norweigan club. Molde’s chief executive Oystein Neerland has completely denied the fact that Solskjaer is now under contract with Manchester United, which had been claimed by the Norweigan gaffer a few days ago.

Solskjaer’s had said on the Fotballklubben podcast, “I’m not sure how it works. I think the contract is expired and that I’m now under contract with Manchester United. I think we need a new contract there (at Molde).”

However, Neerland has said that Manchester United are not yet in talks with them to tie down Solskjaer on a new contract and the Norweigan is set to return to Molde once his tenure at his former club as the interim manager is over. Neerland denied Solskjaer’s claims by saying, “Before Christmas we signed a new agreement with Ole Gunnar for three years, until the end of the 2021 season. Afterwards Ole Gunnar has taken over as temporary manager at Manchester United, a job that goes on until the summer.”

He added, “Ole Gunnar is now employed at Manchester United, and plans to return to Molde after the season.”
