Harry Kane will leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
The England captain will leave the North London club in the summer although he has three years left on his Spurs contract.
Kane is yet to win silverware in his career who signed a six-year deal with Spurs in 2018.
The 27-year old striker has scored 220 goals in 334 appearances for the North London club.
United legend Gary Pallister believes City are the favourites to sign Kane but urges his former club to beat their neighbours to his signature.
Pallister told Metro.co.uk: ‘Listen, Harry Kane is up for grabs, isn’t he?
‘What a statement it would be if Manchester United were able to get hold of him. It seems to me that Man City are favourites, Harry has talked about how he’d love to play with De Bruyne, so we’ve got a good idea of what he’s thinking.
‘But if Manchester United could sign him, what a statement.’
