Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Provides Team News, Antonio Valencia Set To Receive A Farewell Against Cardiff

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided the last injury update for this season ahead of Manchester United’s penultimate Premier League clash with Cardiff City.

With top-four hopes now gone United still have the hopes to finish in the fifth position should Arsenal falter against Burnley. The Red Devils’ form has nosedived since Solskjaer took the permanent charge and since then have won only two games in the Premier League.

The manager is destined to experiment in this game by inducting some youth blood to the team as the likes of Manchester United Development Team/SquadMason Greenwood, Angel Gomes and Tahith Chong have been training with the senior team for quite a while.

Solskjaer said, “Well, you never know in football. It might be your last game, but it might be the start of some careers as well, of course.

”We’ve had some young players knocking on the door all season really and we’ll start with one or two of the kids as well.“

Antonio Valencia also expected to be given a farewell as the Ecuadorian international will play his last match in a United jersey. “I spoke to Antonio yesterday

“He’s not been fit the five or six months I’ve been here unfortunately. He’s really struggled but he feels that he could play a part and I would hope that he gets through today and tomorrow and we could give him a nice send off, because he’s been a fantastic servant to the club.

”He’s been Player of the Year, he’s been captain at the club and I think that’s only fair.“
