Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said that he is worried about the injury suffered by Scott McTominay.

United suffered injuries to both Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay. While the boss was confident about Maguire’s knock, young Scott’s injury did get him concerned.

I think Harry will be okay. He finished the game anyway,” he told MUTV. “Scott is more of a concern, so let’s see how he recovers in the next few days.

“He said he was going to be okay out on the pitch and he said ‘I’ll be fine’. He’s tough, but he had to come off. I hope he’ll recover for Sunday, but I don’t know. Inside of his ankle. I think he went over on his ankle.”

McTominay has been a midfield mainstay in United’s team this season. The Red Devils have been left very short stacked in the midfield department.

Their star man Paul Pogba, has been injured for a while now. He got injured back in September and is now looking to get fit by December.

While Ole can make signings in January, there are no players he can turn to now if McTominay gets injured. Fred is still inconsistent and Matic is well beyond his prime.
