Manchester United midfield ace Paul Pogba is reportedly ready to extend his stay at the club in a surprise u-turn. Speculations of the player leaving the club were rife if Jose Mourinho continued to be at the helm of the club but now it seems that the Frenchman is ready to stay put with the Red Devils.

The World Cup winning star has been in gallant form since the arrival of the interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the club in December to replace the Portuguese gaffer, who was sacked after the Red Devils had the worst possible start to their season. Since then, the former Juventus ace has barely put a foot wrong and has led his side to victories in their last six outings in the Premier League.

According to The Sun, Pogba is set to extend his stay at the club, which would see him earn a significant increase upon his current wage of £290,000-a-week, which would possibly take him on level terms with his teammate Alexis Sanchez, who earns a staggering £505,000-a-week.

As per the report, an Old Trafford source has said, “Pogba’s agent is ready to end the problems he has had with the club over the last few months. He wasn’t over much towards the end of last year. There was a big breakdown of relationships while Mourinho was in charge.”
