Man United are preparing a move for Victor Osimhen this summer.

United boss Erik Ten Hag will be in the market for a new striker ahead of their likely return to the Champions League.

A lot of elite forwards has been linked with the Red Devils, with Kane and Osimhen topping Ten Hag’s summer wishlist.

The Nigerian forward has scored 26 goals in 31 matches for Napoli this season and also bagged the Serie A Best Young Player of the Year last campaign.

The club is looking for a long-term deal for United and Athletic Football journalist Jon Mackenzie explains why the Dutch manager wants to sign the Napoli forward.

“This is going to be the big question, which team has that 100m pounds available because the rumours have always circulated around him going to Manchester United,” Mackenzie said.

“There are a lot of reasons for that because we know that Erik ten Hag likes a striker in that kind of mould.

“He has used traditional 9s apart from when he has played a little bit of underdog football in the UEFA Champions League and Victor Osimhen is obviously the perfect prototype for him.”
