Man United shortlists three transfer targets for 2022

United are targeting a triple swoop and they want to improve multiple positions in the squad.

Manchester United finalised three names in their transfer target lists. Red Devils are going through a tough phase after back-to-back defeats. They were hammered by Liverpool 5-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday.

According to Caught Offside (h/t TEAMtalk), United have shortlisted Nicolo Barella, Federico Chiesa and Kieran Trippier as transfer targets.

20-time Premier League winners are targeting a triple swoop and they want to improve multiple positions in the squad. The club needs a right-back, a midfielder and a winger to build stability in the squad. Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is even fighting for his job and the board can sack him if Tottenham’s game also ends in a defeat.

Nicolo Barella has been a key player for Inter Milan in Serie A this season. His Itlay teammate, Chiesa is also on the radar of Manchester United. Juventus forward scored twice and provided an assist in 10 appearances across all competition.

Meanwhile, Trippier can add more quality on the right side and Atletico defender made 11 appearances this season. Varane is injured and Sancho is out of form so these inclusions can boost ole’s squad.
