3 Players United should sign for Ole's style of football

Six years after the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson, Manchester United are starting to show glimpses of the same old club who had a game plan in the transfer window and picked up young prized assets with a good attitude.

Having already signed Aaron Wan Bissaka and Daniel James, United are beginning to reform the English young core of players they used to work with in the Fergie days.

Given it is evident Solskjaer wants to use the same tactics, here are three players United should look to sign this summer.

Harry Maguire

The English centre back made the big leap from Hull City to Leicester City and has shown no sign of struggle. In fact his form has been so good, he has earned and cemented a national team spot at centre back.

It is no secret United need a defender in the centre and Maguire’s experience of the league and the fact that he is from the English culture could make him a strong signing for Ole.

Sean Longstaff

Yes, he only played well for a little part of the last season and was injured otherwise. However, United’s midfield right now is woefully incompetent.

Still, if they decide to keep Pogba and with McTominay coming up the ranks, the right man could be Longstaff who is hardworking, has a game that compliments Pogba’s and looks to have the United DNA of never stop running.

 Eric Dier

United were in for him two years back only for the deal to collapse late. He is a versatile player who can play in defence and midfield with quality and it will come in handy for the Red Devils.
