Bayern Munich are rumoured to be interested in Scott McTominay.
The 26-year-old midfielder is expected to leave Old Trafford this summer and several Premier League clubs like Newcastle United and Everton are interested in the Scotland international.
McTominay is way down the pecking order behind Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes, Christian Eriksen and Mason Mount.
According to reports, Bayern Munich has been linked with a move for the Scotland international as Thomas Tuchel needs a number six in his current setup.
This report is according to Sport Bild journalists Christian Falk and Tobi Altschäffl.
“Bayern board is currently checking how Scott McTominay’s transfer could be implemented. Thomas Tuchel is a supporter of the move.
“McTominay is currently the favourite in Bayern’s search for a defensive midfielder. Bayern bosses are working on a deal with Manchester United and the player’s agents.”
Erik ten Hag is also looking for a number 8 capable of partnering with Casemiro after he recently lost summer signing Mason Mount to an injury.
Now both clubs will be able to solve each other’s problems as Bayern will propose a swap deal between McTominay and Ryan Gravenberch.
McTominay has two years left on his contract and has amassed over 200 appearances for the Red Devils.
