David de Gea wants to stay at Old Trafford for the rest of his career.

The Spaniard will be playing his 12th season at Old Trafford and could easily be the record appearance holder for a United keeper this campaign.

He has entered the final 12 months of his campaign but United could trigger a one-year contract extension.

He has been instrumental for the Red Devils last term winning his fifth Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award.

The Spaniard came close to joining Real Madrid in 2015 but the move collapsed on the deadline day due to late submission of paperwork.

But the 31-year-old explains that he doesn’t regret his decision to prolong his stay at Old Trafford.

“I didn’t talk with anyone yet but of course, I would be really happy to be here for as long as they want because I want to be here for more years,” De Gea said.

De Gea added: “Yeah, if it’s possible, of course. If they let me stay here I will stay here, for sure. I’m really comfortable, really happy and hopefully, before I leave we can win something.”
