Erik ten Hag has urged Rashford to earn his Man United spot.

The England international has struggled for form this season scoring just two goals in 19 games across all competitions.

The 26-year-old forward has scored 30 goals last season delivering his best performance in a Man United shirt.

Rashford was recently left out of the starting lineup against Chelsea after his lackluster performance against Newcastle United last week.

His work rate and attitude have been widely questioned and Garnacho’s impressive form in his favoured position has forced Rashford out of the starting XI.

Manager Erik ten Hag asked the forward to follow the examples of Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay who were close to leaving in the summer window.

The duo have been vital for the Dutch manager and earned back their spot in the first team.

‘So Rashford is an incredible, good player,’ said Ten Hag.

‘You can’t do it with 11 players, he can’t play every game, he’s not in this moment in the form he was last year but I am sure he will get there.

‘What I said about Scott McTominay and Harry Maguire: up to them. The team will always line themselves up and the best players who form the best team will play.’
