Man United told to axe Andre Onana next summer.

The Cameroonian goalkeeper joined Manchester United in the summer in a £47m deal penning a five-year contract with the Red Devils.

He had a difficult start to his Premier League career as the former Inter Milan goalkeeper conceded 18 goals in 10 games in all competitions.

Onana was brought in as a long-term replacement for David de Gea but the goalkeeper made several errors in his last few games.

He made a calamitous error against Bayern Munich in the Champions League tie and was also at fault against Galatasaray on Tuesday night.

Andre Onana is reluctant to join the Cameroon squad for the upcoming AFCON as he wants to focus on his club career.

He wants to sacrifice his international commitments to solely focus on Manchester United.

“I think he’s a downgrade on De Gea. I really do. I’ve seen enough of him. Is he better than De Gea with his feet? Probably, only just.

“But I’m more interested in him keeping the ball out the back of the net and I think he’s made a lot of blunders this season. A lot of goalkeeping errors.

“’I’m not so sure about him. I think Manchester United will make a change. I’m not saying this season but I think at the end of the season they need to get an upgrade on Onana.”
