Erik ten Hag warns Antony to not lose his cool.

The Dutch manager has urged his player Antony to control his passion for the game after an incident in the Brighton game on Thursday.

He has struggled since his £88million move from Ajax but Ten Hag has praised his passion and desire for the game.

The Brazilian winger picked up a yellow card for a late challenge on Mac Allister and Brighton captain Lewis Dunk dashed towards the winger to make his feelings known.

That led to a similar row after a few seconds and got several players from both teams getting involved.

Ten Hag told on Friday: “Passion is a strength. Of course, until a certain level you have to control it. You need passion and desire to win your battles in the game.

“It is very strong with him and he is very ambitious. Don’t go over the top: stay focused on your game and what the game needs. If he does that, he is a great player. I think his improvement is quite obvious and clear.”
