The Brazilian joined Juventus on a loan deal last summer

Douglas Costa joined Juventus from Bayern Munich on a 1 year loan deal until the end of the of 2017-2018 season. The club paid £7 million up front and have an agreement to make the deal permanent by paying an additional £33 million.

The Brazilian has been one of the standout players for the Italian club this campaign, scoring 7 goals and assisting 13 in 47 appearances and helping the team to win their 7th consecutive Serie A title.

Serie A giants are expected to exercise their option to sign the 27 year on a permanent deal, Massimiliano Allegri is keen to keep him and the player has also admitted that he is happy in Turin,

But the club is yet to make an official announcement whether they will pay the fee as they are weighing up options to find out which area needs reinforcement before doing it. They are keen to strengthen their squad for next season as they have made winning the Champions League their priority.

Should Serie A champions decide to spend somewhere else rather than spending on the Brazilian International then other top European clubs could be interested in signing him this summer.

Manchester United will make a big-money move for Douglas Costa if Juventus do not exercise their purchase option on the Brazilian, reports The Sun.

The Red Devils are expected to bolster their side this summer after an underwhelming campaign and likely to spend big in the transfer window.

United have been a long time admirer of the winger since his Shakhtar Donetsk playing days and they are willing to pay Bayern’s asking price of £79 million which is double than the fee agreed with Juventus.
