Manchester United Stepping Up Efforts To Sign Portuguese Wonderkid

Manchester United are not giving up on their bid to sign Joao Felix this summer despite facing competition from their closest rivals, Manchester City.

The Benfica midfielder is one of the hottest prospects in Europe right now and the Red Devils are willing to cross whatever obstacle that comes their way to sign him.

The latest report claims that Ole Gunner Solskjaer is about to table an offer worth €90m for the Portuguese. The United boss has been entrusted with the responsibility of transforming the squad completely for the upcoming season.

It even says that Solskjaer is ready to offload two of his biggest stars to get his hands on Joao Felix. The Benfica youngster has enjoyed a remarkable season in Primera Liga, scoring 18 goals in 33 appearances across all competitions.

He primarily plays in the attacking midfielder role but can appear from the wing or even as a shadow striker. Felix’s greatest strength is his dribbling and his vision on the pitch.

The player’s agent, Jorge Mendes has close ties to another rising Premier League outfit, Wolves and this has led to a connection growing between the two clubs for Felix as well. But the 19-year-old’s €120m release clause will immediately rule them out against United.

Right now, the Red Devils’ biggest threats are Juventus, Liverpool and Real Madrid.
